I'm using 25gr Varget w/ Hornady 68gr bullet works good out to 500m .

Been using varget in all the .223 loads, as well as my AR in .243WSSM
Varget is the best i use it for 223, 22-250, 220 swift, 308, and it works in 25-06 but in that round it is not the fastest, but great accuracy (or so a friend tells me, he loads it). Varget is awesome, and with 223, you can put any load the book tells you, and from what i have found it shoots well out of any gun that i have seen and shot and others have shot.
and yes like Imhntn said it works, i think i missed with his rifle 2 times out of probably 30 or more rounds. and one was on the first shot and the other was on a running P-dog at probably 300 yards (i got pretty prideful, and that i could do it).
