Glad to hear it. Those are great shotguns. One of the dumbest things I ever did was sell my Browning A5 Mag 20ga. :crying:

Good luch on the hunt! Hopefully it will bring back some great memories.

I had a 16ga Belgian with the knob grip....not a sweet 16....that someone had shortened the barrel on. It was early in my collecting life and I sold it to buy something else. Big mistake. Should've kept it for a quail gun.

I do not have much personal experiance with the A5 but the action is very similar in function to the 11-48. My grandfather used to put 30 weight oil on the recoil spring of his 11-48's. Seemed to work very well and stays wet for a very long time.
