Have any of you guys used a Chevy Duramax diesel as a strictly highway vehicle? I would appreciate any advice you could give me on what to expect for mileage, or unexpected results anyone experienced. Thank you.

I had a 2006 LBZ, stock got around 18mpg. Then tuned, intake, and exhaust got 19-21 at about 70 mph. Put a 6" lift and kiss the mileage goodbye again.

I drove an 03 1-ton, dually for about 9 years. Had 260k miles, 3 sets of injectors and a Hypertech programmer.
Averaged 19-21mpg solo and 10-12 pulling a 42', 18k lb 5th wheel camper.

Traded it last October for an 09 F-450. Getting 10mpg solo and 6mpg pulling my RV!

I've got a 2012 2500hd Sierra, gets roughly 600-640 miles per tank in hot weather. 550-600 in winter and when pulling a 21ft nitro. Of course, it costs about $120 to fill it up again.
