Got word today from a customer that Cleveland County Sheriff is no longer signing form 1s and 4s because of what's going on. You folks in Norman remember this doucher when it's time for reelection.

I take it 1s and 4s are for NFA buys like class 3 and suppressors (did I spell that right?). Sheriff Lester just got re-elected for what I think is a 4 year term.

And I'm sure more will follow this example of trying to be "politically correct".

This is the scariest part of any new federal legislation. I really think if a swell of states decided to buck any new federal gun laws, Oklahoma would join in. However, I believe we'd need County Sheriffs on board to kick feds out of town. I can only imagine how this guy and Whetsel would (not) take care of that business.

Years ago when I first got mine, either the sheriff or the DA could sign. Is that still the case?

That really sucks. Thanks for the heads up on this. What other options would a Cleveland County resident have now other than going with a Trust?

    And Instruction 2e for a Form 4:

There are several other options besides a county Sheriff.

I have a friend that is a dispatcher for the Cleveland county sheriff, i had him ask to see if they are still processing NFA papers. he said that they are still signing the form 4s.
