They do eat most anything, I've seen theme at a live moth-a very large one at that.

Done a little search and it seems the CDC thinks it comes form the fruit bat. Also, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) was first reported in 2012 in Saudi Arabia and has since caused illness in people in more than 25 other countries. And, they just apparently don't know... Too many thumbs in the pie.
