That's clearly a black mountain lion.
A guy here saw a mule deer buck I believe it was Monday. Just west of town by the creek. He took phone camera pictures and you could barely see the antlers which were just forks. I saw the picture with my own eyes.
can you pm me your nephews name. i was raised in enid and my dad, although not much of a hunter these days, is retired and has coffee with some old farmers in the area. he's interested where its at so he and his coffee buds can talk about it. they're always lookin for interesting topics, ahhh, retired life!
we used to have some land down at mounds... someone had a bull elk escape from captivity and was roaming the property...
I live just 2 miles from the Garfield/Alfalfa Co. line, and word has not gotten out about the cow elk around here yet. Game cams are the best!
I wonder if it came from North of there or from the South somehow? That's a pretty good haul from either place that they have hunts in the state.
A buddy of mine saw a bull elk in Alfalfa county in late October. He saw it standing in wheat field not far off the road.
