Yes, use decoys, get an owl one too, if you can find one. I bought one from a hardware store that is made for gardens, they will land in your spread sometimes if you let them.

If you call them in and shoot them, a lot of times they will fly a bit away and sit in the trees and call at you, if you move to the other side of them or to a completely different spot but still within ear shot, they will come to you again, it's like they forgot what just happened.

Crows are tough bastards, I would for sure use pheasant loads, that's what I always use. I love crow hunting, but have never entered a tournament.
