I'd go with the US having more reported deaths from COVID-19, but I'm not buying us having more deaths as long as the Chinese gov't is reporting their numbers.

There being 2 strains is probably why people who have had it are testing positive a second time.

This. China sent lots of test kits to Italy that proved to be defective, so I doubt China's numbers are accurate.

US has a population of approx 330 million and #2 Spain has 47 million, #3 Italy 60 million so of course we would have more deaths. It's China and India that should have more deaths due to population but who knows how they calculate their deaths. Figures don't lie and liars figure.
