Daughter’s remodel project-what can granite be used for?

I keep a piece around slightly bigger than a cylinder head from a V8 that I have run a machinists edge over to verify flat. Sure comes in handy if I have a valve cover that keeps weeping or something where I need to verify flatness with feeler gauges. I'll also spray some quick tack on it and stick sandpaper to it for sanding pieces that need to be very flat and true.

DO NOT use them for stepping stones in the yard.

She has some left over granite countertops. Any ideas of what to use it for? @swampratt

Makes a good [indoor] base for a wood/log burner stove or, if properly supported, a good base for an outdoor shower.

Base for stamping leather.

If you do this, CAUTION, you put a "Poundo" board on top of the quartz, then the leather. This is mandatory!

Had some extra when had kitchen done. Made a Twelve and sixteen inch lazy susan. Two cutting blocks, 12x14. Then did corner shelf on counter top. Then did windowsill. Over look the clutter please. Granite guy was very good and great to work with. Pictures show all.
