Took a doe Sat evening with the pistol at 60 yds offhand from a stool. Scoped Ruger SBH Hunter 41 mag loaded with 18.0 grs 2400 behind older Hornady 210 gr. #4100. Slightly different nose profile than newer XTP #41000. Was just few degrees from near head on with head down feeding. Bullet entered base of back of neck then along artery and esophagus to the lungs and lodged around 20" through to opposite side in skin. Dropped on the spot with not even a step.

That .41 mag got it done for sure! Congrats!

I didn't realize they had changed the profile, what velocities are you getting?
These bullets are before they changed to the jacket taper to the hollow point. The older ones shot better than the newer ones. The way I found out the difference was after buying 5 old boxes off gunbroker. I don't remember exact velocity.
