If I had my 'druthers, it'd be a Marlin lever-action .357, and a Smith and Wesson revolver to go with it.

Crap. Now that'll be stuck in my head.....

I have a Marlin 1894 in .357 and S&W revolvers to match - they are a great, hard hitting team and you can use .38 spl to save money/wear & tear.
