I have always been partial to 5.11 boots.
I do not do mail order shoes, unless it is the exact same manufacturer and model. Too many variations. I have 2 pair of rockport boots one in 9.5 and another in 10.

I wear Danners. They make 2 types made in USA and made somewhere else. Get the USA ones. they can be rebuilt forever.

I've had good luck with Danner. But I'm trying a set of 5.11 ones now because they were given to me.

I have a new pair of 5.11 HRT Urban boots that I got from L.A. Police Gear. Great boots that felt broken in from the getgo. These are last year models that they have on their website on closeout for $69.99. Great deal for me!
I have a pair also. They are slick as hell on a hanger floor if its wet with water, hydro, or fuel but very comfortable.
I've been wearing Wellco T-180s for the last three years - one pair per year. Light, durable, and very comfortable.
