What we’re trying to tell you is that pretty much ALL new cars have an “implanted device”. Almost all car manufacturer are trying to move to a subscription service model for recurring revenues.
I know that, again, easier ways to do it other than hacking on the average car. That’s my point. Yes cars have been hacked, RAM had quite the issue for a bit.

I don’t buy cars with remotely accessible crap built in. It’s amazing what will happen when far more refuse to do so.

Real question, why in the world would you buy a car with onstar if you are concerned about this? That makes no sense.

The interest on the federal debt will skyrocket, and our fiat currency will collapse……
If you are in debt, you’re screwed.
Except that in this case, raising the interest rates 1/4 to 1/2 percent next month, in an economy that is running about 15% true inflation, isn't going to do anything except make a few waves in the stock market, and probably a short-term, small dip in precious metals. Our federal debt is already so far out of reach it can never be repaid - and in my opinion - it shouldn't. I hate the Federal Reserve, and owing interest on money to a private banking cartel who makes it up out of nothing is asinine. But we have to live in the real world, and Fed control is a reality.

It seems to me that the lender is the one that will be screwed. If we have 1000%inflation I will sell my 10-year-old car for $100k and pay off my mortgage.
But you are assuming someone will buy the car. I think when people are panicked because they can’t afford food or gasoline, buying a used car might likely be low on the priority list.

Yeah, all world governments are in collusion so they can control you and drive you to a non petroleum society.
Throw enough money at a subject and repeatedly tell people that the earth doesn't go through cyclic changes and and we'll all die in ten years due to weather changes and the people will believe whatever is said. There is a LOT of money to be made eliminating petroleum usage and money to be lost along with unemployment-but the government will pay benefits to those that are jobless-courtesy of the taxpayers.

My Chevy truck (and every other GM vehicle) comes with OnStar. My wife’s Kia has a similar service that’s subscription based. They all take over the air updates via satellite. So they can all be disabled via satellite.

And yes, they can be hacked:

As we’ve already seen with this insane abortion seeker tracking bill Oklahoma wants a database to track women considering abortions there’s always a statist autocrat looking for ways to control We The People. I guarantee you DARPA already has the ability to remotely kill a modern vehicle without even bothering to hack into a manufacturer’s system.

Do you not know that a lot of hardware and software from China comes with malware pre installed?

I get that you’d like to believe this is all “tin hat” stuff, but you should probably wake up now. The dystopian future is already pre installed for your overlords, it just hasn’t been triggered yet. :(

A lot of manufacturers have been inputting computers that will one day require subscription updates. They have been doing this since 19196. Chevy, Nissan, Caterpiller, John Deere, and many others.

it won't be decades. i don't know about where you guys live, but honestly when i stop at a light at this point it's almost a guarantee to see a tesla. sometimes multiples. it seems like literally everyone in nw okc has one.

that's ONE manufacturer. imagine when they ALL sell EV's and ONLY EV's. if you want gas, you'll buy used. this will take far less time than people think.
Joe, get out of town once in awhile, where the cowboys roam etc.. EV's are for the most part non-existant at this time.

I don't really consider myself 'stupid', but I don't have the foggiest idea of what the hell you just said :anyone:
Chuckie...........If you can't understand what I said, YOU my friend have been brain washed to not understand anything but the communist party line! The poor people in Nazi Germany, or North Korea, can't understand, or even comprehend, anything but what tey are told to think! Did you know the GREAT LEADER Kim Dong Do, of NK, never has to use the bathroom because he is so pure, he creates no waste? Or that he invented Walt Disney Cartoons, and FLIES AROUND ON A WHITE UNICORN? The poor NK people believe this crap, or at least terrified to admit they don't? Try THINKING FOR YOURSELF!

The 'deniers' are like the relief valve on a pressure cooker. As long as there are enough people that still refuse to 'see' or believe what is happening within our society, there won't be enough of a buildup of anger leading to a violent outcome. Our government counts on 'deniers' to shame others into inaction.

They are very rare in nw okc too, lol.

must admit, Tesla’s are fun to drive, esp in ludicrous mode. I don’t want one. No clutch and doesn’t sound like a flat plane crank 8 cyl
