People are dying or permanently injured by those on social media that are desperate to make a living off of this kind of crap. I don't mind supporting those that have informational hunting/fishing/cooking shows or something like that with a like on YouTube to help them make some $$ but this staged stuff is outrageous.

The FAA does not have the ability to prosecute Trevor, it can only revoke and suspend certificates as well as issue fines. The FAA has ordered Trevor to surrender his private pilot license (PPL) threatening further legal action if he does not do so, this includes a penalty of up to $1,644 for each day he does not surrender it.

Of course he had to hike six hours to get back to his plane's wreckage. He had at least one more camera on that plane (the one that took the first picture of him exiting the plane), and likely even more than that. YouTubers tend to use multiple cameras if they are doing outdoor stunts.

Supposedly, according to some of the comments following the story at the link, he has already had the wreckage lifted out by way of a helicopter.
