Had a visit from a member of the Federal Governments' Law Enforcement community Monday. I would just like to stress to those folks operating as unlicensed gun dealers or folks doing a lot of buying, and trading outside the NICS system. It would be in your best interest to garner some identification from those you do transactions with or you can end up in a very uncomfortable position. The gun you trade off or acquire could have a past you do not want to be part of.....

Just for this reason, I always copy their drivers license any gun license (if they have one). I take a picture of the license and bill of sale and save them on my computer/tablet in a specialized folder.
