First Day of Deer (rifle) season....

Hunting at kaw my buddy and me both had does on the ground at 7 and 7:15 seen two other deer one little buck and a lot of shots right at light nothing since then now 8:45

Lol justhad a 7pt walk UNDER my stand and I left my bow in the truck! Two years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about shooting him!

I'd like to thank the two dumb@$$es who just walked within 30 yards of my blind kicking up grass and talking loudly. I whistled, they looked up, saw the blind, and kept walking right thru my shooting path.

May they have worse luck than I am. :finger:

I haven't seen anything yet up here in northwest dewey county but have heard 32 shots from all different directions.

This morning I saw a doe and a buck one side was broke off and the other side had 3 points. Its was a little windy. going to go back out around 2:30

Saw 5 doe last night. Haven't seen anything today though. Still on stand now. I have heard several shots though. I am three miles south of taloga.

I wonder if the good lord looks down on praying for deer...

We're back at the farm house - just finished eating breakfast

We heard about 20 shots this morning but only 3 sounded like they were within a mile of us.

Heard two shots to the south right after another. Was hoping it meant a miss and possibly scared one up our way but no such luck so far.
