Went to one of the farms today to spray some glyphosate on the Johnson grass that has popped up after buying some wheat seed from a farmers bin.
I was a week late because of the rains. It’s gone to seed. I’ll get a kill on the existing grass with the addition of some Hyvar for some locust sprouts but the seeds are going to require some intensive tillage so they don’t spread.

I sprayed my annual plots with round up a few weeks ago. This past weekend, I got some lime down on both my clover plots and where I plan to plant clover this fall. Hopefully will get ground worked by Labor Day and be prepared to get wheat mix in by mid-September with clover planting late September or very early October.
I mowed 2 weeks ago and will be spraying 5 acres of plots this coming weekend. Going to have to plant over Labor Day weekend due to vacation later in September.
You’re way ahead of me. First order of business when getting home is to mow and prepare food plots. Sprayed glyphosate before we left, so hopefully the Johnson grass got a good kill so mowing and disking is all that will be left to prep.

That's what the landowner is going to do. It's too far from where we farm or I'd just do it for him. Long haul for 3a and 12 bales lol. We've put up just over 500 bales this last week, lot more to do still.
