Found a pen gun, help me figure out what I have.

I found this laying on the ground today and I'm not sure exactly what it is.

On the side it says "EIG model S-25 .22 caliber japan" I googled it and all I found out was EIG is a firearms manufacturer, nothing else about this model.
I couldn't fit a .22 cal bullet into it so WTF??

It almost looks like an old military pocket flare gun that they used to put in survival kits.

That's it. So it's a tear gas gun, now i gotta get some cartridges for it.

This one you speak of , Did it shoot a caliber out of it also ? If so what size . Didn't the military use one similar to the specs of the old needle syringes .
