g23 conversion for 9mm?

in my g23 could it get a g19 barrle and mag and shoot 9mm? i am currious if this would work. i know its a newbie question but isnt this what forums are for... lol, thanks!!

Yes and No. You can find conversion barrels, but I don't believe a stock glock 19 barrel will work. There are conversion barrels made for the G23 to make it into a 9mm. Lone Wolfe is the first name that comes to my mind. Also I have heard of issues with the 40 cal extractor and they have to be replaced with the 9mm extractor. Doesn't seem to difficult, but can be problems.

ok thanks... i guess i just need to order the lone wolfe conversion kit then... it was just a thought, and i was pretty sure that it wouldn't work i just wanted to make sure before i order a kit! thanks again.

I have a g22 and got a lone wolfe barrel and mags has worked great no problems at all

Here is what I purchased from cheaper than dirt. It works great with my Glock 23, You just have to purchase the 9mm mags too. I even put the barrell in my Glock 27. It protrudes out the front about an inch but it still works.

Or pick up some of the cheap KCI (Korean) g19 mags from cdnn along with the barrel

Hint: since you're just plinking anyway, believe it or not the Glock .40 mags work fairly well with the 9mm.
