I've been running back and forth between Lex and Tulsa over the last two weeks, and the station where I normally fill up in Norman rose about $0.32 over those two weeks. The Walmart in Sapulpa had a shocking jump, too, especially when I'd paid closer to $2.80 in Norman a day or two earlier, then got hit with $3.44 in Sapulpa...

Just got back from Kansas. Along the way I saw as high as $3.70 for E-10 and $4.29 for the real stuff. I managed to fill up on genuine non-corn gas for $3.49 in Sedan, KS today. That was the cheapest I saw the entire trip. By the time I got past Meeker I paid $3.75 at the Casino.

like from the first few days that joe took office he has been selling the strategic oil reserve that you know whoo filled up to the brink. i think the number is somewhere around 29 billion barrels of oil. that drove down the price of oil and also brought down the cpi so that the inflation numbers wouldn't look so bad. well guess what? the reserves are about empty so the effect will be higher energy prices....
My understanding is they no longer figure energy and food into the CPI, like they did in the 70s and 80s, so inflation is actually worse now than it was then. So the price of oil doesn't affect the CPI, if that's the case. And our selling off our strategic oil reserve didn't lower the price at the pump by any more than a handful of pennies.

Sold to China.
Yep. America has been sold to China as well and actually long before bumbling Biden took office. We borrow money from them to give to places like Ukraine while the American sheeple graze peacefully and allow it to happen right under our noses. There are currently more Chinese operatives in this nation than we realize. All it takes is one word and our already crumbling infrastructure will be destroyed. I’m sure I’m just an old fart that believes somewhat in conspiracy theories so it’s really all good. Higher gas prices are part of the plan to drive us, pun intended, away from fossil fuel.

Last Year trend:
Looks like summer travel is increasing demand and the price. Just like it did last year at this time. No surprise.

The only reason gas has been lower the last couple of months or so because oil has been around $70 a barrel. For the last three weeks it has been inching back up to $80 and the gas prices have been following.
