Lauren's father, Alec, was working on his car, a BMW 525i. The jack slipped and the car fell on top of him. Lauren was on her way out the door when she came upon him, unconscious and crushed.

I always have chocks, the jack stand, the jack, and then just for shits and giggles i throw a concrete block under there too. if i have the tire off, then i try to throw the wheel under the rotor.

makes it mighty cramped, but i don't have to worry as much about gettin crushed!

Sounds like me, but without the concrete. I always throw the tire underneath the frame adjacent to whatever wheel comes off. Jack stands, hydraulic jack, wheel chocks, extra kitchen sink too.
