Great alternative to a beretta 1300 = tac a300

I thought I'd revive this thread.

I have an A300 Ultima Patrol and the latest Mod 2 1301 Tactical. I said elsewhere I think I'd prefer the A300 over the 1301 if only it had the Beretta Pro Lifter like the 1301 does. They've been impossible to find for several months now unless you're willing to pay $333 on eBay for a $60 part. I'm not.

Well, good news for me. Beretta got the Pro Lifters back in stock last night and mine just shipped to me today. I can't wait to install it on the A300. Once that's in place I really believe the A300 would be the better choice for someone looking for a top-quality gun without the 1301 price.

And if you have one of the previous two generations of the 1301 this is hands down the best upgrade you can give it.

Can't wait to try it out!

I have had both too, only have the 1301(newest gen now). Tbh I wouldn't have "upgraded " if I didn't get such a good deal on the 1301 I picked up. I think the finish is better on the 1301 and believe the A300 barrels are made in Turkey but mine ran like a champ.


Next upgrades on my list is Beretta kick off system stock, and upgrade that barrel clamp.

The 1301 is definitely a more refined gun. The main thing I don't like about it is some loads are a little longer than others and that keeps you from loading the full 7 rounds in the mag tube...the standard tube that comes on the Mod 2. But it sure is pretty. Looks like a Ferrari. The A300 looks more like an F250 in terms of fit and finish compared to the 1301. And it shoots great. I didn't bother changing the barrel clamp. I just put an m-lok QD socket on the forend and attached the sling there.
