Does anyone know if a home alarm will still go off if it is not monitored? I've read it will still chime when doors are opened, but I'm talking about the main alarm.

Yes, the audible alarm should still work, but if your not connected to the phone line the notice won't go out to authorities or the alarm company(who will call you and or the authorities).

Transmitted via Tactical Telecommunications Device.

Not necessarily... depends on the system, I believe. I COULD be wrong, but I wouldn't want to base my safety on that. Try it and see??

We have had monitored and non-monitored in the past. Both will set off the alarm. Try it and see, periodically test it...

Do you pay a monthly charge to an alarm company ? OKC gov. requires a yearly alarm permit, not sure about Norman.
