Is it just me or do the people in Florida whine quite a bit more than Texas? Fuel and power are going to be a challenge anywhere a hurricane hits, don't live there if you can't handle it ...rant over

I think the destruction in Florida was much more widespread(square miles) than Texas maybe? Don't know for sure. Just speculating.
The news had Houston totally devastated, but I have several personal friends that just got a lot of rain, and no home damage in the Houston area. The company my wife works for is HQ in Houston, and they recently are in process of shutting down the facility in Ponca and moving those folks to Houston if they want to move.
That's just the difference between a state that has a majority population of retirees (elders) and one that does not.Is it just me or do the people in Florida whine quite a bit more than Texas? Texas was only hit hard in a small area. Florida was hit hard over much of the state. You can drive 50 miles north of Houston and be fine. The people in south Florida did not have that option. We have people in Florida right now and sent a few more this morning. The guys that were in Houston said it was nothing compared to the damage in south Florida. Is it just me or do the people in Florida whine quite a bit more than Texas? Yep, a lot of that ME, ME, ME (ME first, ME always, ME only) attitude going around these days. That's true but everyone that with elderly loved ones in Florida should have made a tag team effort to get them out, what I saw on TV were younger folks , really pissed that the hey couldn't get gas or water how they wanted. And it was all FEMAS fault in their minds. I have friends in near Orlando and winterhaven that are getting by it just seems to many people are hoping the government fills all the basics
