10/22, single action 357, 12 guage of your favorite model, 30-06 in your favorite bolt gun.

one of those four should be appropriate for killing anything in North America, dangerous or not, man or beast.

Almost what I would pick, but a double action 357 would be my choice. I do not have a 10/22 but have a few good 22 rifles and all the others so I am good.
