Inexpensive HD Shotgun

I am looking for an inexpensive Home defense Shotgun in the $200-$250 range.

I am wanting as much magazine capacity as possible, and a regular butt stock, not a pistol grip.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

You cant really go wrong with either but I prefer the Maverick. I had one of the earlier Hawks and while it functioned just fine it seemed a little rougher around the edges.

I was going to grab a Maverick 88 myself but stumbled upon a great deal on a Mossberg 500. Everyone I talked to said the Maverick was a great choice on a budget & was a good gun for the money as well.

Are you set on that budget? For about $100 more you can get an 870 or a 500.

I know but...I am trying to stay closer to $200 than $300 if possible.

I have a Maverick 88 (full length), nothing wrong with it, cheap and shots everytime. I plan on getting another and cutting it down to 18.5 for HD.
