Ahmadinejad was quoting a from a speech given by Khomeni before, and misquoted it. Then it was mistranslated. But we still go with “wipe Israel off the map” because it’s good for warmongering.
By the way I understand the translations, it alludes to “eliminating the regime from making history”, or from continuing to make history. That’s also what I meant by the Hitler analogy. The History Channel sucks, by the way.
Whether he thinks they’re a “cancer” or not, it still doesn’t confirm that he wants to nuke Israel. Let Israel handle their business. It’s not our problem, and I have no desire to sacrifice one American life to their defense. They have an arsenal of nuclear weapons, and capable armed forces. Can’t we stay out of it for a change?
