I love it when complex things are simplified so that we all can understand.


. United States Tax Revenue: $2,170,000,000,000

. Fed Budget: $3,820,000,000,000

. New Debt: $1,650,000,000,000

. National Debt: $14,271,000,000,000

. Recent Budget Cut: $38,500,000,000


Now, remove eight zeros and pretend it's a household budget:


. Annual Family Income: $21,700

. Money The Family Spent: $38,200

. New Debt on the Credit Card: $16,500

. Outstanding Balance on Credit Card: $142,710

.Total budget cuts which some politicians are proud of: $385


Stop the insanity now, Vote them all out and demand a balanced budget.

Amazing. The people responsible for the numbers with ALL of the zeros still in place continue to spend. The people responsible for the numbers with eight zeros removed are the ones no longer allowed to spend, because they can't. Read my signature..................I think Thomas Paine says it best.

It's sad and it's the country we've allowed to happen. The only numbers that tend to get headlines are the "$10B saved here and $2B cut from this...", once our country goes the way of EVERY OTHER GLOBAL SUPERPOWER IN HISTORY and breaks down, maybe things will change.

The worst part, that $385 was not actually cut, they just promised to cut it somewhere down the road but it never really happens.

You guys obviously don't understand complex mathematics the way Congress does. What you perceive as bad math is simply higher math. Some of the calculations necessary to correctly set the budget are symply beyond your ability to comprehend. Don't worry about this stuff so much, they're not going to let us down. They really do want what's best for us. There's no way they're going to make a mistake on something so critical to the country.
