We plan to defer payments or whatever the proper terminology is until the usual tax time. Some folks may need the money early but we’d rather just do it all at one time in the spring.
It’ll be a bonus I guess going from the normal $2k per child up to $3k-$3600 per child. I think many folks are confused thinking it’s all new money when it’s really just an increase from $2k. Yes I believe it’s unnecessary and we definitely don’t need it. I also think some folks think they’re gonna get these payments and then a huge chunk next spring. Well, if you take payments, they’ll pay you up to 50 percent of the credit so at tax time you’ll only have 15-1800 left to use.
