Jurisdiction on hunting in fishing

So im reading the Cherokee Nation web site.I notice it sat i can hunt and fish without a licence in the 14 county jurisdiction witch are all in my area.It say you just have to show a copy of your blue mebership card.After reading this im feelin real good.So i call Parks and wildlife and the tell me I will be ticketed if caught.My question is he has the actual jurisdiction?

State Law has not changed. If you are a tribal member you can still hunt/fish without a license on tribal and or restricted land, not the whole 14 county treaty nation.

A question. In Kay, Osage, and Noble counties it is predominatly tribal areas with lots of casino's. What is the definition of a tribal or restricted land? For the record I have a lifetime, but was just courious as I used to hunt on some tribal land and just hated seeing deer taken in the spring and summer when I was in the area fishing on the river. Never saw anything bigger that a small 6 point, so I moved on,

tribal land/restricted tribal land are both owned and or controlled by an Indian Nation. For Cherokee Nation you can get a map of their lands from the website. Probably can for most nations within OK.

It's my understanding that it has to be the actual land held in trust for the tribe by the BIA. Like has been said, you need a map.
