Who all has done it?

Sitting here watching a lady breastfeeding her baby in the jury pool room.

eta: her partner is here with her, so I don’t know if she’s serving, he’s serving, or both.

I served on a jury in federal district court last fall. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Everybody on my jury was pretty decent. But if I never do it again that'll be just fine!

Once about 5 yrs ago. Just got another notice to serve again. so, this time when they question me I’ll begin every answer with “according to the prophecy, “

Just found out this is a murder trial.
Great huh?

I keep hoping to get a chance to. I've always wanted to be on a jury. I know it won't be all fun and games or anything, but I still want to.

I thought I was going to get a chance to down in Texas. Got the notice, went to the courthouse, was selected as one of the ones to be reviewed for the case, was told to come back the next day. Got home about 30 minutes later and there was a message on my answering machine (yes, it was THAT long ago) and the case had been settled out of court.

One advantage of being a PD volunteer is that they won't use me in a criminal case.

It sucked.

Had my entire summer locked down due to jury duty.

Judge gave us orders on day 1, show me now where you have paid tickets for any trips for the next 3 months. Other wise postpone all travel plans, unless its for a health emergency or death in the immediate family.

Had to call every week, to see if I needed to show up the following week and what day and time.

Honestly was a huge pain.

I get it that it has to be done.

Co worker got called for federal jury, had to drive to Muskogee and was on call for several months.

His was sue to the mcgrit crap, so it was a retrial.

I've been called three times. After they find out i am a retired cop, "thanks for your service, goodbye.

Got a notice for Sept 5th , they called case settled out of court. Now report in October, the 10th comes to mind, gotta call not sure of the date. Was real busy when they called, yea, OK, what ever, then back to work.

A couple times Tulsa District court,in one, judge was a classmate of my dad at TU Law and dismissed me on conflict. The other I was not called from pool
US Fed Court KCMO I served on a civil trial about Phillipino computer staff being stolen by a shady temp agency from a State Dept contractor doing Phillipine DOD IT contracts.
Dragon Lady temp agency head witch lost $3mil and cost. Her response to the judge was poorly chosen and She got escorted from court room by US Marshalls as judge told the court clerk "Contempt 1"
Clay county Missouri dismissed by defense attorney because I held Armed Commission security Officer badges for KcMo and KCK PD. Perp robbed fast food joints. LOL
