50 cal Hawken last Friday at dusk at a nice buck
Gun popped caps twice ànd the buck didnt movè far. 3rd cap hang fire but hit the buck at 95yds and blew some big bone fragments out the exit wound.
Ran out of daylight, marked the sign and Saturday morning got on his trail with two buddies but evidence coyotes pushed him all night and we never found him after searching all dày Saturday. Tried using my Airedale Gus to track him but he didnt nose him up. Coyote scent distracted him all day. 4 coyotes showed up on my game cam 45 minutes after I shot the deer.
He was this one seen at my camera last week.
Bummed out big time losing this one.

You better be careful. Don't push it too soon
I decided this morning to deer hunt this weekend in Texas since it’s the opening of rifle season. So I checked the zero on two scopes I have set up for my combo gun, and as expected, my gun, scopes, and handloaded 308 ammo are ready to go. 
6.5x55 at 200 yards off sand bags. Rifle could probably do better. It’s a rem 700.
Some of those don’t have those little “pointy” things in them. If I remember right, they don’t make the right noise that way.
It’s a garden, I am growing them.
The front got a low dose of fertilizer, hence the poor growth rate
But there should of been a line between the apples and the oranges.
