I understand that. It's just disappointing that 49 Senators think something like this is OK.

The House is republican controlled also. 241 R vs 190 D. I think the supreme court it 5-4 Conservative also. If it makes it to US soil it would think it would die fairly quickly.

None of those matter a bit. Only the POTUS can ratify a treaty upon advice and consent of the Senate.
