I have one. I love it. Gorgeous rifle. But, to be honest, I like shorter rifles better. That's why I have the Small Game Carbine in .22Mag. Same look (aside from the peep rear sight), large-loop lever, shorter (octagon) barrel. Far and away my favorite.

A Cimarron Model 1876 in 45-60 WCF. Haven't had much time to shoot it - it's not like you can buy a box of ammo at Academy Sports!

My dad had a Marlin 336 30-30 he bought way back when I was a teenager that he never shot. In 20+ years it never shot a box of ammo. I told him I wanted it to hunt with and we worked out a deal. I got it from him in September 2019, killed my second biggest deer with it that November. Now it looks a little different since I mounted a 2-7 Leupold on it. Dad got the rack, shell case and the bullet I recovered.

I also lucked into a Marlin 1894CS in 38/357 a few years back that was like new, probably unfired for $620. I’ll die with that one.

I’d love to find a Marlin 45 colt someday but won’t pay the stupid prices these days.

A 39A in .30-30? I thought those were only made in .22 cal.

You are correct, I ran to the safe and of course the marlin is sitting furthest back behind all the other guns…lol it’s a 39aw

LOL... I'm not trying to be a knucklehead, but are you sure that's a 39AW and not a 30AW? I'm genuinely curious now because I've not heard of either until tonight. Guess not...
