My go to rifle for deer hunting is an old Ruger 77 tang safety in 7 X 57. For several years my best load has been 42 g. of IMR 4895 with a 140g. Nosler Partition bullet. I have just about used up my supply of these bullets. I have a box of Nosler Ballistic tips in 140 g. but I am not a fan of Ballistic tips.
My question is do any of you 7 X 57 fans have a good load for 150 g. Partitions? It happens that I have a box of 150's and I guess I will use them before re-investing in bullets.
Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated and might save me a lot of wasted bullets trying to fine THE LOAD. Thanks, Joe
