I have a "standard" Springfield M1A ($1100) and a Siaga 21" barrel .308
($450). The M1A will print 1.25 MOA all day long. The Siaga will do about 2.25 MOA all day long. If you are on a budget, the Siaga will work just fine for you. I have been extremely happy with mine.

Both of these shoot their best groups with reloads. With US/Nato
"milsurp" the M1A and the Siaga both print a little less than 3 MOA

For what its worth, when shooting the "cheap" wolf .308, the siaga outperfoms the M1A.

The M1A likes heavier (168g) bullets. The Siaga likes lighter (147-150g) bullets

...just my take on things.
