Magpul 1911 grips locally?

Has anyone seen any dealers in the metro area selling the magpul 19111 panels? Or should I just buy them online and give someone else the buck..

Also would like to hear opinions if anyone has them.

I just got a pair from Midway USA. I love them - very thin, great surface grip and the thumb release scoop is awesome. I'll post pics shortly.

What do these grips feel like? How do they compare to VZs?

They are made of heavy-duty reinforced polymer. They're not as tactile as VZs, IMO. They're very thin and I like them, especially at only $20 a pair.

they are crappier than crap, compared to VZ. Heck, these grips make ergo grips look good.

Im also wondering how all you rightys managed to drop magazines before people started doing the thumb scoop thing.
