Sheriff press conference on right now.

He is asking that the name of the shooter not be used.

At least one national gun forum is actively scrubbing the mass murderer's name from any thread. I think we should follow their lead on that one.

Well the shooter obviously broke this rule...... how did these murders happen then?

Obviously they need larger signs. That will prevent it from happening again! :rolleyes2

Uh, let's see: Unarmed victim zones are an invitation to criminals that ignore all laws? How about banning unarmed victim zones like Utah did for their campuses instead of banning guns?

Obviously I'm preaching to the choir here on OSA...........

Just heard of an Army vet who was wounded while "charging" the gun man. It will be interesting to get his story as he recovers.

Another vet, apparently, Air Force was armed on campus and headed to the area when he was stopped by college staff....hope the police were already on scene.

Not with guns.

Please point me to the celebratory funeral of a person killed with a shiv.
Dead is dead neighbor. More people are killed with hands and feet than with semi-automatic rifles. There is no perfectly safe this side of the grave. Best bet, buy a gun, get licensed, practice, practice, practice.

If you are a college student or employee, consider this: You are in this all alone. It should be abundantly clear that neither the government nor your school administration is willing to do anything to protect you from this type of violence on campus. You alone are responsible for your own life and for securing the requirements for your survival. Is there anything that would physically prevent you from carrying while on campus, like metal detectors? What is the likelihood that you would ever be caught if you did carry, assuming you were careful to conceal? Which do you think is worse -- getting expelled/fired/prosecuted, or getting murdered?

Get armed. Get trained. Don't wait for anyone's permission to do what is necessary to protect your life.

The amount of sheer ignorance in your post is staggering. The shooter supposedly made vague references on a web site that all posters are anonymous. There is no way to know if he's the one that was making the post, and no one knew his name. As for Ryan Lanza, he didn't even live in the same state as his brother and had very little contact with him in the months leading up to the shooting. Adam was carrying Ryan's ID during the shooting and the press reported, incorrectly, that Ryan was the shooter. There is no reason, none, other than in your hate-filled mind, to think Ryan Lanza had any knowledge of his brother's plan. He was thoroughly investigated by the police, and completely cleared. But, don't let the facts get in your way.

Reports are that that guy was hit 5 times and is expected to survive.

Saw the second one you mention interviewed by Breitbart. He seemed like a very squared away dude, was doing exactly what Henchman stated.
