Order of Operations: PMDAS (Parenthesis, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction) ...in that order.

2X=.10 -> X=0.05

Therefore:
Ball = X = 0.05.
Bat = X + 1 = 0.05 + 1 = 1.05
