Milling your slide for a red dot.

So I finished step one of this optic milling job, which is mill the slide. My neighbor let me borrow some of his machining tools, which is really great. Saving some money for sure. Now, How do I go about step two, which is getting the optic footprint cut for it?

You need some pic grooves!

Looks like you left plenty of material for step 2, so good job! Some people don't think things through so well before making chips.

Step one is step two. Especially since most footprints require you to mill bosses

Just slap some JB weld on it and c-clamp that puppy on there. Milling is overrated.
