I've been thinking about getting a milsurp gun.Something in 308 makes sence and i like the looks of the cut-down Ishapore.Where can i get one locally at a decent price.Any other suggestions in the 150-200 range?

The ishapore is not a 308 win. It is a 7.62x51 these rounds are not the same. The 308 is loaded to higher pressure and should not be used in the enfield.

Sorry just wanted to make sure you knew. Your best bet would be one of the big gun shows. I saw one at one of the smaller gunshows with a $389 price tag on it!

dlbleak, if I had read this yesterday, I would have brought my M39 for you to look at today. Not .308, of course, but really good shooters. I think they have great sights.

Of course, they are a little more than $150, unfortunately.
