So!

I usually carry my Ruger P90, I have aquired a Model 642 J frame by S&W.

I'm looking for opinions!

Better to carry it IWB or get a inside pocket holster.

I am sure there are many of you that have done both.

So please share your opinions before I order a holster from someone.

Thanks Ahead of Time for your Opinions.

Trial and error is what will answer your question. I think its a little too bulky for pocket carry in the type of pants I wear, but it's a way to simply get it covered. OWB is great if you have a cover garment plan. You will hardly notice it and others surely won't if you carried that way. IWB is my prefered with shirt cover. If the little cylinder bump doesn't bother you that's the way I'd try to start.

Just get one of each and that way you're covered. I have a Mr. Softy from High Noon Holsters for IWB and a Desantis Nemesis for the pocket. IMO, that's all you need for the litttle 642.

Pic's of all three, IWB, OWB, Pocket. Granted yours is an Airweight compared to my all steel 640.

Thats a sweet looking holster, how do you like compared to other IWB's?

You could go to a tumbling class, and she's not coming out till you want her too. Very solid, and the best way to use her is to make sure the loops split on one of your belt loops. If its not where you'd like it cut it off and have it resewn to where you want the holster to be.
