Is this also true with horsehide?

Ya know, I really can't say firsthand. After I ruined a nice cowhide holster, I bought a horsehide Galco, which came with a warning not to use neatsfoot oil, but instead to use the expensive Galco cream. I took their word for it and still have the horsehide Galco holster.

Aren't the two terms similar? I put it on pretty heavy when conditioning my leather though
I thought liberally meant that he took the oil from someone else.

Remember that there is a difference between the pure and the compound. Know the difference. The pure is 100% neatsfoot oil while the compound might only contain trace amounts.
