My grandfather had a blue Honda Trail 70 for us grandkids. I spent many days / hours riding it around his farm and chasing jack rabbits. Loved that mini-bike.
I'm not intending to hijack the thread but just realized - I haven't seen a jack rabbit in years. What happened to them?

Mini bikes ruled. We had a honda 50 that by the time it got from my brother to my sister to me, had no brakes, and the handle bars had been welled many times. Good times. Yep same here, graduated to a 125 and roved the country side and my world got a bit bigger.

Oh yeah! Back in the day we had honda 50's which were the only thing legal for 14 yr olds to ride on the street. Some of neer do wells, got the Honda 90's, and some of the real rebels got the Super 90's.
We had a "gang" of 15 year olds that terrorized nobody, but we thought we were the baddest of the bad. I still wear scars of laying one down with some sand on the road.

I never owned a mini-bike like most of my friends,,,
Although I did have a go-kart.

There was that big track on the NW of OK City,,,
They shut down around 1961-62.

My Pop bought three of them for 20 bucks each,,,
We had just enough spare parts to keep one running nicely.

Like you all, my friends and I prowled the dirt roads of South OK City,,,
My kart had a bench seat so I could take a girlfriend along.

Dang but we were a bad @$$ gang of marauders.

My buddy growing up had one of those bikes. I had a Honda 50 I bought for $100 with my hustlin' money.

He could get ahead off the line but mine had a better top speed than his did.
