NIU has a strength of schedule of 120 out of 120.

They lost to last place Big 10 team Iowa and they beat Kansas by 7 points. So OU gets penalized for playing a real out of conference team in Notre Dame. Stoops should of just scheduled 3 cupcakes like Sec does and he would be in the Sugar Bowl.

The Ironic thing though is that the computers which are unbiased to a name and take SOS into account are a major reason NIU crashed into the BCS. Two computers had them at #12.

I hate the BCS.... People think this problem is going to go away next year with the four team playoff. The argument now will just be for the 4th team in and, as you see here, other bowls will still be affected by this nonsense.

The BCS sucks. The rules were agreed upon and OU and everyone else has to abide by them. Florida would hace brutalized the sooners and A&M is going to be a tough game.
The way OU and OSU played defense, in fact the entire Big 12 defensively, does not deserve to play in a bowl game. I know any Big 12 team would probably beat NI by 50 points but those are the rules we agreed to.
