I suspect the Hard Rock will get whittled back quite a bit before it gets built. I don't think it'll make the money they hope it does.
That "little" casino and hotel just west of there on I-35 is raking in millions every day. The Choctaw casino in Durant is raking in millions of dollars a day.
Build it and they will come. It appears they are making them not just casino,s but also a family destination resort type of facility.
Meanwhile NE Oklahoma is getting a multi-billion dollar resort being built that is going to be similar to Disney?

We took away everything the Indians had, and now they're winning it all back.

Hard Rock isn't exactly new to the casino game, either, with that big ol' casino/hotel in Catoosa at I-44 and 193rd. I'd guess they must be working with the Choctaws, as I can't see the Chickasaws bringing in competition for the Winstar.

We just finished building another new casino last year on Texoma - West Bay Casino. It depends on where they bought up real estate. The only room is on the east and south ends of the lake. If I'm reading that right, they bought up property in Denison, which would put it on the SE corner of the lake. That's Choctaw country if a casino ends up going in there on the OK side. It wouldn't be on the TX side (the casino at least). We are working on 3 new properties in OK right now, not including anything near Denison/Cartwright.

Margaritaville is somewhere in Texas. The Hard Rock Resort is being built all around the Westbay casino on old Texoma State Park land. That’s all Chickasaw land.

They’re taking in the Chickasaw Point golf course and Catfish Bay marina also. It’s a massive plan.

Lots on the point are going from $750K to $1mm plus for homes.

It’s crazy considering Tanglewood in Texas has struggled for years. Guess it’s Cali people with cash moving here?

Going to be the ruin of this state in the end.

$1 million for a building lot, screw that.
