The state has actually been selling them off slowly over the past couple of decades. My late wife and I - especially when the kids were little - used to love going to Western Hills Lodge on Ft. Gibson Lake. The state sold it several years back. I thinks it's still in operation, but with the wife gone and kids grown I haven't been there in more than 10 years.

There was one sold on Eufala to one of the Tribes? It was before Casino's, and it didn't last much longer after the sale.

Yes, it was Arrowhead Lodge. Some guy originally bought it to convert it into a drug rehab facility, but went broke refurbishing it. One of the Tribes bought it and tore it down because it was beyond repair, but they've never done anything with it. Don't know if they even still own it.
The state had built the lodge with a loan, 9M, from the federal government, which they never paid. The state gave the lodge, and another, to the fed pay back the loan, total 15M. The Choctaw Nation bought it at auction, ran it for a few years. The Choctaws then sold the lodge to a rehab group.

I remember now, it was NARCANON or something like that.

NARCONON = Church of Scientology. Dennis, you should remember they tried the same thing up at Chilocco. Bunch of scam artists.
