Trout and Mushrooms!

Saute some mushrooms with a little onion and some cilantro.
Use a cup of heavy cream with a table spoon of butter and about a table spoon of Southern Comfort. Heat this up and thicken with a little corn starch to your desired thickness.
Pan fry the butterflied trout. Season the flour to your liking.

Cover fish with mushrooms and then top with desired amount of the cream sauce.

Good eating right there boy.

Don't put too much SoCo in the cream. It will over power the fish. I've had it with and without and the cream definitely needs some other source for flavor or it washes out the fish a little. Lemon juice is ok, but can curdle the cream.

I think I just found a new way to try my trout. I love my shrooms.:D

Our fav way in the past has been putting them in foil with spuds, carrots, onions, garlic lemon juice, and bell pepper like a hobo dinner

Gonna have to try this one. I have some frozen as we speak.:D
