Get off my lawn.
Non players do not understand the effect this has on full time players. A good friend of mine has made a good living the last 5 years playing nothing put online. now what? get a real job? he has a nice 5 year gap in his work history that he will need to explain. Not to mention the amount of money he stands to loose if he cant get the money from his account. Im not saying how much money I had on there but you could buy a nice used truck thats for sure.

Poor guy.

If he's that good, he needs to turn pro and forget about the online crap anyway.

Living in the middle of Casino country, I have an issue with somebody thinking they can make a living from gambling for 5 years. I have a hard time believing it. These places do not stay on line, nor do brick and mortar casino's stay in business with people making a living from them. If they are constant winners, the security will flag them as they can be assured they are not doing something legal.

Legal = the casino taking your money.
Illegal = somebody has a system and will soon be caught.

My EX-best friend lost $600,00 of his retirement, and works for minimum wage now
Another lady in town that worked at a bank embezzeled almost a million, and lost it all including the million+ she got when her husband died, and the stories go on.....

Trust me, I've heard all of the stories about people that "know" how to make a living there.
If you put one of the cards in there, so they can track you, and give "comps" you are setting an electronic pattern where the machines will give an occasional payout, to make one "feel good" and then slam your dobber into the dirt when you get hooked.

Its all electronics, tracking and computers now.

Native American definition of "High Roller" Is biggest looser....

Poker, win loose or draw the house gets a rake out of everyhand, so no matter how much you win, the house gets its cut, its not a crap shoot, you are taking the guy next to you's money, not the casinos.

America, where banks can turn the economy into a giant ponzi scheme and get off scott free, but Lord help you if you play poker.

I play on pokerstars for play money..not really into gambling "real" money. I used to go to Tunica and gamble every now and then but everytime I put a $20 into a machine I would think "there goes a box of ammo"...hell I just got a thunderbolt phone from verizon and a poker game was preinstalled. It allowed you to charge money to your verizon account to play poker with.
