This is entirely a opinion post. What cartridge have you used on game that just breaths and bleeds America. I am talking about if you were telling somebody about it and the first thought would be "Boy! That's a pure American cartridge". My personal opinion "American" cartridge pick would be the 270 Winchester but I am sure the 30 cals will rule the roost.

I have shot a 270 Win. all my life. My BIL turned me on to 7mm-08 a few years ago. I bought my boy one when he was 15. I bought myself one last year and plan to use it going forward. Great caliber w/ less kick.
….still not selling my original Remington 700 in 270 that I have that I have had for over 30 yrs!
